Who are we?
Physiotherapists are experts in movement and assess the way children move, they provide advice, exercises, stretches to help children. They have a fun approach and where possible will make therapy motivating and fun. Your therapist will discuss with you what they feel would be helpful for your child and will set some goals together with you and your child.
We work closely with the rest of the team and may refer onwards where necessary to the wider team where further input is needed.
Who do we see?
The children’s physiotherapy team at CDS works with children and young people from 3-16 years with a disability, They may have developmental, neurological, neuromuscular or musculoskeletal difficulties. We provide specialist assessment and a range of interventions to enable a child with physical difficulties to reach their full potential, maximise function and independence, promote normal movement and prevent or limit contractures and deformity, thereby improving quality of life.
