We know not being able to visit your loved ones in hospital can be stressful and upsetting. Our patient welfare team can help you keep in touch when you can't visit.
Please let us reassure you that we will continue to provide compassionate care for your relative during this challenging time. Our dedicated staff are working hard to make sure we continue to provide the high standard of care that our patients and whānau expect of us.
What we do
Our patient welfare team is an experienced group of professionals from the older person’s rehabilitation service, medical ward, general surgery & gynaecology ward, medical assessment and planning unit, coronary care unit, orthopaedics and administration team, who work with our patients across the hospital.
While managing safe distances, the patient welfare team visit patients on their wards during weekdays. A member of the team is based at the main reception to assist visitors with navigation around the hospital for outpatient appointments.
The team have a number of options for helping you connect with your loved one.
