The review was undertaken to establish an understanding of where we could improve the service for women and their whanau in the Hutt Valley.
We have established a steering group comprising key staff and community leaders to implement the key recommendations.
It is a challenging time nationally for maternity services and we have faced issues with recruiting staff.
We have now released the review to all staff and are committed to holding a series of sessions with staff to keep them up-to-date on progress.
We apologise for the delay in releasing this review. It was important for all staff to have an opportunity to see the document prior to its release to the public.
We thank our staff for their commitment to delivering the best possible services every time they come to work.
